Napa Wine and Food Pairings?

We will be in Napa this summer and was looking for suggestions for wineries that have wine tastings combined with food pairings, lunch etc. Thanks

super - great list, thank you!

I would add one more to the short list above, Flora Springs Winery, for a very special experience (the historic winery estate on W Zinfandel Lane, not the tasting room on Hwy 29):

We did the Cakebread food and wine pairing. It was wonderful and worth the cost in our opinion.

Thanks for the responses. We will be there over the weekend and the choices seem to be limited. Does anyone have good options for a saturday or Sunday?

Hi Supercilious,

One more you can add to your list is Kelham. They offer a Charcuterie Lunch Platter which is a little pricey, but aren't they all? Go to their website and click on A La Carte for current prices and a picture of the platter, which is exactly what it looks like. The wines are very excellent also. They hold their wines for 8 years before releasing which means that many are ready for drinking now.

For groups, Chase Family Wineries will do a BBQ and with their amazing Hayne Vineyard Zinfandel is a good bargain.

Thanks for that Hawkeye. Looks like a great option although their wines may be out of reach for many. A local tour operator was interviewed recently on local tv and he said Kelham was one of his two favorite wineries that he likes to take clients to.

If you like high-end Cabs, don't miss Silver Oak. We loved our time there last March. :).

Hi Supercilious,

I agree that their Cabs are on the high side, but their 2001 Estate Cab is just about the best that ever crossed my palate. If they still have it, you should get a bottle and try it.

What was the TV guys other favorite winery? Just curious.

Thanks for all the information you share.
