'Best' Town

Hello - Looking to stay in Napa Valley in October for a 'mini moon'. Can anyone recommend what specific town we should stay in? We're looking for easy access to great restaurants, spa, wine tours. We will have a car but would prefer to be within walking distance to restaurants / downtown areas during the night.

Thanks!

We like Yountville! We have enjoyed great stays at Bardessono, The Yountvlle Hotel and The Villagio Inn & Spa. All of these places are walking distance to restaurants in Yountville.

Bistro Jeanty, Ad Hoc, Redd and Bottega are a few of our favorite places to dine in Yountville. Domaine Chandon is also right there for wine tasting in a beautiful setting. Have fun! :)

Yountville is a great choice. It has "restaurant row" but is a little lacking in night time entertainment. Napa and Calistoga have more options for late night bars and live music. Napa also has two theater venues for live entertainment. Both Napa and St. Helena also have top quality restaurants but you won't go hungry in Calistoga either.

Yountville and Calistoga have probably the best spas. Solage and Calistoga Ranch in Calistoga were just selected by Conde Nast Traveler as two of the best resort spas in the US and were the only Northern California spas chosen in the top fifteen. But, there are excellent spas in Napa and St. Helena too.

Where you stay may be decided by what budget you have. Yountville tends to be the most expensive town to stay in.

There are other discussions about this topic in the Napa Valley forum and there is a FAQ in the upper right hand corner of this page that gives more information.
