water temp update

I have been unable to get into the surf all June but today I can report that the water has become much warmer than I expected. Still not what I'd call "warm" but definitely not cold!

With this weekend's warm weather I expect to see a lot more people in the water, and fewer full wetsuits!

Enjoy!

It is a bit too far away, but it looks to be warmer than usual this year. Usually it starts to get colder as fall arrives. But a few warm, Santa Ana days might keep temps so warm that you can still go in without a wetsuit.

it doesn't get updated as much as it should, probably due to massive state and local cutbacks, but this LA beaches website can have good beach info-
