3 days in Hollywood, no car...

Hi TA,

I'm sure this is posted a lot here, but I always like the most up to date info, I'll be staying in Hollywood, Tues-Thurs very close to the H & H intersection for 3 days, 2nd time here,

Good bars/or clubs to hit?

Good gym to train at?

Good breakfast place?

Best way to get to Venice Beach?

Thanks as always to anyone who replies!

You need to be more focused. LA has every kind of nightclub and gym so it's hard to recommend any unless you say a lot more about yourself. For example, 24 Hour Fitness, Gold's Gym, and LA Fitness all cater to different market segments.

For Venice Beach you probably need to take the Red and Expo Metro Rail lines and then transfer at end of line at Venice Blvd. in Culver City to a local bus line. I believe Metro has station vicinity maps for most but not all Metro Rail stations showing what bus lines stop nearby.

For breakfast I love Champagne Bakery but I believe the closest one is in WeHo which is hard to reach without a car.

Please check the right side of this page, top questions. It's full of the kind of information you are looking for.

Without a rental car, make yourself familiar with the travel planner at this site:

http://www.metro.net/

Google Maps is imbedded, sometimes it works better, especially when searching landmarks rather than exact address.

To get to the beach cities, take a city bus, using the travel planner above, I think you'll have to make a transfer, but the step by step instructions there will help. The light rail is very indirect and will take you as long as a bus. Ride share apps work well here; if you have no experience with them, please do some on-line research.

Take a look at the restaurants tab at the top of this page, but I also use yelp, Urban Spoon, and these:
