The Price is Right

I have on-line tickets for the price is right on 11/16/06. Any advice on how to make the most out of this day. We're coming from the Dakota's so we don't want to waste time if possible

Thank-you!!!

This show is shot at CBS Television City complex on Fairfax at Beverly. Nearby and within walking distance is the LA Farmers Market and The Grove.

The Market has food from around the world plus little shops with various touristy trinkets. I recommend Patsy's Pizza in the East Patio. Good New York style food.

The Grove is more of an upscale, outdoorsy shopping center with restaurants like the Cheesecake Factory, a movie theater, bookstore, Apple Store, and many others.

And you might want to arrive 60-90 min. before taping to get in line.

your ticket does not guarantee admission...people get there very early in the morning to start lining up. it's pretty much an all day thing.

If you haven't made your hotel arrangements, you might consider the Farmer's Daughter Hotel which is across the street from the CBS studios. Info at:

Yup, Yoga Chick & Kimi are right. I drive right by CBS on my way to work every day, and I see the people walking to line up for Price is Right at about 7:15 a.m. Farmer's Daughter is definitely the place to stay.

Thank-you for all the info................have another question, here's an part of the on-line ticket we received:

Priority numbers will be issued starting at 8:00am for the Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday (Friday, if applicable) shows effective May 3, 2004. The gate to the audience holding area will open at 6:00am. If you arrive before 8:00am, you will be given an "Order of Arrival Pass" which will show your numeric order of arrival but is not a priority number. At 8:00am, the "Order of Arrival Pass" will be exchanged for a priority number, which is written on the Price ticket. Stand-by numbers are issued after all priority numbers have been exhausted. One priority number will be issued for each person with a ticket. Each online ticket will take up to four people for numbering purposes.

If you receive a priority number you will return at 9:00am for the 1:15pm taping and 12:00pm for the 4:30pm taping on Mondays and at 10:00am for the 2:30pm taping on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.

What I'm confured on is the 2nd paragraph, if you receive a priority number for the 1:15pm taping you will return at 9:00 AM- does this mean you will be there 4hours in advance and then tape the show or is this the taping time also?

it means you will have to be there in advance, before the taping. they go over the rules, give you your nametag, interviews, etc.

I just want to clarify, so I understand. The best chances of getting on the show is to be at CBS by 7:00 AM and if you receive a priority pass at that point, pending on the show, you need to arrive 4 hours prior to taping and then the taping of the show lasts an additional 4 hours.

All and all it is an all day event, or at least a minimum of 10-12 hours? Correct.

Or am I misunderstanding.

Thank-you, again,

Tana

please read this detailed blog about the experience:

the taping does not last 4 hours, not even close to that.
