Like I mentioned in your other post which was looking for the top burger joints in LA, I feel Tommy's is top of the class for chili Burgers.

The original location on the corner of Beverly & Rampart is the best Tommy's LA experience.

Oh yeah... Tommy's is very good and their Chili remains really excellent. I have to say, though, I really love the Carney's Cheeseburger with everthing.

I think it would give Tommy's a run for their money.

On a personal note... when I stopped being a vegetarian about 20 years ago, Tommy's was my first stop.

Tommy's is great, but it isn't a hamburger, it is a chili-cheese burger.

The ONLY Tommy's to go to is the one at Beverly & Rampart and if you can get there at about 2:30AM you can be with the other half in the tank clubbers on their way home.

Agree about the Beverly / Rampart location. That is the original. Tommy himself has a few other locations, and there are lots of imitations of Tommy's around LA, that use similar names and similar color themes, like "Tommie's", "Thoma's" etc. Go to the original.

I eat there all the time - the one on Lincoln at Pico and get extra chili.

ha ha ha

A Tommy's burger with lots of chili peppers after a night of clubbing was the bomb! Do they still have those hard as a board paper towels? They were so hard it almost hurt to use them. lol

I can't remember the last time I ate at Tommy's. This thread makes me feel old.

Give it a go tripper!

For a cheeseburger with grilled onions, can't beat In-N-Out. For chili burgers, Tommy's is about as good as they come. Still among the first places we head for when we visit our former homeland (moved to Oregon 36 years ago).

I prefer Carney's for chili cheeseburgers and chili cheesedogs. That's really all they sell. And fries (of course with chili and cheese!) The restaurant is in a couple of old converted railroad passenger cars.

They have two locations: Sunset Strip in West Hollywood (perfect location if you're clubbing on Sunset Strip) and Ventura Boulevard in Studio City.
