When does it get dark in San Diego in mid February?
Welcome to the forums
Your question possibily would have been seen earlier had you posted in the San Diego forum rather than the smaller neighborhood of La Jolla.
Sunset in mid-Feb will be 5:35.
And a bit of trivia ... San Diego is further east than Reno ... hence sunset is 2 full minutes earlier than Los Angeles ... just a 100 miles up the road.
How do I go from San Diego to Catalina, I'd like to dive there but won't have a lot of free time.
Rachel G - you should start a new thread since you have a completely different question than the original poster.
You have to drive approx 1 hr North of San Diego to get a ferry to Catalina from Dana Point or Newport Beach. If you don't have a lot of time that may not work for you. It's a days excursion.
Driving would be a good trick, since it's Pacific Ocean all the way. Best take a ferry. Not sure about San Diego Harbor but there is the catalina flyer out of Dana Point Harbor and also out of Newport Beach Harbor.
www.catalinainfo.com (Newport Beach) (for informational purposes).
They want to DIVE there ... not drive :)
