Healdsburg with Kids

We are planning to rent a house in Healdsburg for the weekend. Are there any kid-friendly activities/wineries/shops that you would recommend? Thanks!

Yes. Several within a 15-20 mile radius. There is Safari West, a wildlife safari, Howgarth Park with paddle boats and carousel, and Lake Sonoma where you can rent motor boats.

Coppola winery has Bocce ball, a childrens library, and a swimming pool with poolside service.

There is also kayaking, hiking, and canoeing on the Russian River.

Plenty for kids to do in 1 weekend.

Also in Santa Rosa is The Charles Schultz Museum if you're a Peanuts fan. We had a very nice time there when we visited the museum. :)

The Healdsburg Farmers Market on Saturday morning, with produce from local Sonoma County farmers, could be a fun outing.

It used to be on the Plaza. I haven't been in several years. I assume it's still on the Plaza.

It's actually Howarth Park and they have pony rides, a merry-go-round, train and paddle boats. There is a bowling alley in Windsor too. If you are planning on using the pool at Coppola, you should call ahead for reservations. It gets very busy. Lots of fun places to hike and the River's Edge is fun for canoeing on the Russian River. Have fun!
