You can take your dog into yosemite, but they must be on a leash and they can only be on paved hiking routes.http://www.nps.gov/yose/planyourvisit/pets.htm outlines the restrictions. Some of the trails in the valley are paved up to a point.

You could hike the two miles to Mariposa Grove on the road. I'm presuming you are going soon, and I believe the road is closed now to vehicles.

There are also some lakes to hike to up Ranch Road behind the Tenaya Lodge, but depends on conditions of the dirt roads to get to the trail heads. Iron Lake is pretty. It is a long drive up the back roads to many of the trails like Fresno Dome. They aren't as pretty as Yosemite, but you can take your dog in the Sierra National Forest.
