Day trip to Coronado

Hi All,

I am heading over to San Diego this weekend for a few days and a friend has recommended spending a day over in Coronado. We have been advised to hire a bike then get the ferry over and cycle to the other side of the Island to a lovely beach.

Can anyone tell me where we would pick up the ferry in San Diego and an approximate cost? Also is it quite simple to find our way to the other side of the Island and the beach? (I believe we cycle straight through the town?)

Any ideas for places to eat at the beach (on the other side) would also be fantastic!

Many thanks!

The ferry has two landings, one by the Broadway Pier (Cruise port) and one by the Hilton Bayfront.

You would get the bikes AFTER you get off the ferry in Coronado at the Ferry Landing Village and follow their directions to "downtown" Coronado, maybe a mile and a half away.

Coronado is a great place for bike riding.

The ferry is $4.25.
