Good, fun restaurants on Coronado include Candelas, Coronado Brewing, Tartine, Tent City Bistro, Il Fornaio, Leroy's Kitchen + Lounge, Costa Azul and Sapori.

I am not the biggest fan of Miguel's or the Brigantine. They are okay, I do go to them on occasion, but I'd recommend any of the others above over them first.

Miguel's is very good! We loved their outdoor patio there and their warm Churros with Mexican Creme Brulee for dessert. :)

>>>Miguel's is very good<<<

Miguel's is a great many things, but in the universe of San Diego Mexican restaurants it is not "very good".

It is fun, comfortable, a nice setting, blah blah blah, but the food is average at best.

The base of the Coronado Bridge on the San Diego side sits in Barrio Logan and there are a dozen Mexican restaurants there and in the surrounding neighborhoods that blow Miguel's out of the water.
