Carlsbad Inn Beach Resort

We are renting a one bedroom time share in late October. Looking for room location recommendation, so we can try calling ahead to request.

Upstairs, downstairs?

Is there a quieter section of the resort?

Do all units have balconies?

Have the units been updated?

Thanks, in advance!!

I don't have answers to all of your questions, but I hope these links help you somewhat.

Visit the Inn's website and click on hotel rooms or the photo gallery.

Carlsbad video overview.

I would think an upstairs room would have better views and be quieter than a downstairs room. The Inn is located on a fairly busy area for Carlsbad. It's in the heart of it all.

Other suggestions include reading all of the property's reviews on TA, and calling the property directly.

I'm a local so I haven't stayed at the resort, but my feeling is that the west side will be quieter than the east side, and the northwest corner will be quieter than the southwest corner.

You could call the resort in advance. If you rented from an owner you probably have a fixed unit, call the resort and talk to the front desk they are very friendly and helpful. (I met the manager Randy and told him I thought they did a great job training employees: His response was we hire the right people.) The resort employees are there to make sure you have a great vacation. I would prefer a third floor unit (There are 3 floors in the timeshare buildings). WE own the 2nd floor and had a couple of kids above us our last trip that were like track stars. I believe all the units on the second and third floors have balconies. The first floor is ground units but the area is pleasant. The resort is now non smoking except in a couple of designated areas.

Some of the furnishings in the units are ready to be updated it is in the plans for the next couple of years so some may be worn. One of our chairs showed a lot of wear. Our bed was comfortable. and my son does not complain about the hide a bed. The units are clean and the location cannot be beat.

This is our home away from home for a week a year unless our school schedule changes and we are forced to trade. We really enjoy this resort and sure you will too.

One other piece of info Fish House Vera Cruz (A short walk) is one of our favorite places to eat anywhere.

Enjoy Carlsbad Inn we certainly do
