Hotel or B&B ideas in Cambria

Myself and my fiance are coming to California next September for our honeymoon. We are traveling down the California coast and would like to stay in Cambria for a night or two. Does anybody have any ideas of a good places to stay up to around $175.

Also when is the best time to book early to make sure we get reservations or later to maybe get cheaper rates?

The following link should help with your search:

A few to consider:

Moonstone Landing

Sand Pebbles Inn

Little Sur Inn

White Water Inn

Fog Catcher Inn

Olallieberry Inn

Cambria Pines Lodge

September is still a busy travel month on the California coast. We don't see a lot of cheaper rates at that time. You can check each inn's website to see what packages they offer that might give you a better deal. Many inns have packages that include wine tasting or Hearst Castle tours.

We enjoyed a nice stay at the Best Western Fireside Inn, it is right across the street from Moonstone Beach. They have an outdoor heated swimming pool, jacuzzi and complimentary breakfast. You can walk to the Moonstone Beach Bar & Grill from this property. We were in Cambria a couple of weeks ago and toured the El Colibri, it is a new property, very contemporary and pretty. The rooms have fireplaces and there is a spa on-site there, also. www.centralcoast.com is a nice website for this area.

Enjoy your time on the Central Coast! :)

Hi, we did a complete ‘loop’ of California in September and October taking in the coast from Santa Monica back up to SF stopping at a few locations in between. We stayed in Cambria for one night at the El Colibri which we found to be great and would be well suited to honeymooners like yourselves will be. Depending on how long your total trip is I found that one night was long enough to break up the journey, have a nice meal, wander around and visit the beach but no doubt there is plenty to fill 2 days with it’s just trying to strike a balance of breaking up the driving and seeing as much as possible. Regardless of where you choose to stay I can also recommend Madeline’s as a great restaurant.

If you book direct at a rate you can cancel without charge (good advice regardless of location) you can always cancel or get teh rate changed if a late deal comes up.
