Bass Lake in the early Spring (end of March)

We are planning our spring break vacation and thinking about spendinga 4-5 days in Bass Lake. Is the water too cold? Are there hiking trails? What about the downtown? Also, thinking about staying at the Pines Resort. Any thoughts? thanks!!!!

Hi, the Pines Resort is very nice. We have stayed several times with our entire family and as a couple. We like the Spa Suites which are lakefront with many nice amenities including jacuzzi tubs, turndown service, early check=in and late check-out, robes and easy access to the pool and outdoor jacuzzi area.

Both of the restaurants here are very good, there is a Bar & Grill and Ducey's, the more formal venue. The water will be pretty chilly in March, in June our kids swam a lot in the lake when we stayed there the beginning of summer vacation.

There is also the Pines Village right at the resort with a nice grocery store, pizza parlor, shops and a bakery. Enjoy your trip! :)
