A taxi should only cost you 45 JOD.
I entirely agree about 45JD, but I think the official price is posted there as 55JD, the Movenpick must have added on "for their expenses in arranging the taxi", also, as I have said in another thread, they have to give 10JD to the taxis waiting at the border.
It's entirely up to you if you accept or not. On the one hand you don't have to negotiate a price, as you say, on the other hand if you don't see the taxi, you would have to look for it you can't just take another taxi.
That's the 5* price of a 5* hotel I guess :-(

that is a fair price for hotel taxi.You might be able to get a slightly cheaper one but it could be dodgy and can end u p cost you more.Remember cheap is not always the best.

One question we haven't asked is how many people are in your family? If you are four people or more, it might be that the hotel is quoting the price of a large taxi.
