Luggage storage for a day in Harwich

My husband and I will be disembarking from a Royal Caribbean cruise on Sunday 5 July. We will be taking the ferry to Hoek of Holland in the evening. Is there a place to store our luggage near the cruise terminal or the ferry terminal for the day? Are there any suggestions about things to do and a place for lunch and dinner?

There is a nice Historic Trail of Harwich that you can follow, and other info here:

For lunch, visit one of the pubs in the pleasant historic old town - not so very different from when the Mayflower set sail from there!

Head into Old Harwich by taking the train from the port to Harwich Town station. (About five minutes' journey!) With luck the weather will be fine, in which case it's a pleasant place to stroll around. There are no major sights, but there lots of interesting historic buildings, a handful of small museums, and also the beautiful Electric Palace cinema - one of the oldest in the world still showing movies. There should be a 2:30pm show on the Sunday.

For eating, your best bets are probably the Alma Inn, the Pier Hotel, and Thai Up at the Quay, which as you might guess is a Thai restaurant. The New Bell Inn is also excellent for lunch but doesn't do food in the evenings. There are quite a few other choices too. Old Harwich is very small and you can easily walk among all these places.

If you like the idea of something a bit different for dinner, the Laila Grill in nearby Parkeston is an unusual and excellent Indian restaurant - it's actually very close to the port but it would be awkward to walk, so just take a cab there and then another on to the ferry when you're finished. Again, the distances (and therefore cost) are minimal.
