Resorthoppa Tenerife

I have just come back from Tenerife and have used Rosrthoppa on many occasions, whether Tenerife or other holiday destinations. I used them thinking that I was getting a good deal and that I would not be kept waiting. OMG-how wrong I was? Last year (2011-Gran Canaria) Flight was mid afternoon, was picked up at 8.30am in the morning on a 52 seater coach and we toured nearly the whole of the island picking up and the coach driver had not got a clue, the number of times we went back to the same resort was unbelievable. The journey to the resort from the airport was just as bad, they dropped us at the wrong resort..

Gave them the benefit of the doubt this year in Tenerife as have had no problems on previous visits to the Gold Del Sur. We had to wait nearly an hour, some shared shuttle, my party of 4 were the only passengers on a 52 seater coach-so why the wait??? I must admit the next part was my mistake, as i booked the wrong departure date but OMG that was an eye opener. I paid a reputable and licencsed company 12.50euros. So 2 return trips would have cost 25euros. I paid Resorthoppa £40.00-a very big overcharge I would say. I certaintly will not be booking with them again, as on this trip I could hAve saved over £10 and not had to wait nearly an hour. Lesson learnt. My advice to you is check out prices before booking with Resorthoppa, they are a rip off!!!!!

Hi,

Shared shuttles can be good value, but you always run the risk of having to wait for others and multiple drop off points. For this reason, I only ever book a private transfer - particularly for somewhere like Tenerife where the ride is only 15 minutes and the fare is reasonable at approx 25 euro each way. For me, getting there quickly so that I can start my holiday is worth the extra.

You saying about the coach made me smile - hubby and I booked a private transfer a couple of years ago. We didn't have to wait but were escorted to what the diver called a big taxi - turned out it was a full size coach just for the 2 of us! Of course, we sat right at the back :)

just returned from tenerife and booked my transfers with resorthoppa , the price for 2 adults return was less than £16 so really good value , it took 1 hour and 30 minutes from the time i got on the bus to the time i got to my apartment ,not fantastic but you get what you pay for . the return was 1 hour from apartment to airport so much better . the only gripe i had was when we arrived at the resorthoppa desk we were met with a huge queue . there were 2 staff members directing people to the rear of the line ( which had now stretched out side the arrivals building ) but only 1 person actually working behind the desk , directing people to there buses . i would use resorthoppa again because of the price , as i said you get what you pay for . hope this helps .

Oooops! Just booked with Resorthoppa, usually book flights and transfers with Alpha Rooms and never had a problem. This year tried doing it all ourselves and found it difficult to choose which company to use as they all have good and bad reports. Our flight lands at 11pm, so hopefully there may not be many other flights at this time, fingers crossed. Oh well, it's all part of the holiday, as long as the pubs open for a wee nightcap when we eventually arrive at our apartments. Happy holidays, everyone. Cat

Used successfully in Tenerife in February so booked again for September this year in Barcelona. Collection from Barcelona airport was spot on, our flight had been delayed but the driver was stood with our name board waiting, he was chatty, helpful and I was most impressed. I rang to confirm our return journey, not expecting any issue, they had us down for a pick up from hotel at 0915 which was fine (our flight was at 1215 and the journey is about 30 mins or more depending on traffic). 0940hrs and no sign of driver, starting to feel a little anxious so I rang to check, assured the driver was on his way, 10 minutes maximum he would be. 1005 hrs and I tried to ring again, permanently on hold, no customer service and no driver. We had to take the decision to get another taxi which we did at a cost of €32. I have emailed resort hoppa requesting a refund and three weeks later am still waiting for customer service to contact me. Very disappointed and will certainly not use again because I would not feel confident in their ability to deliver the service they charge too much for. Incidently I paid £42 up front to Resorthoppa for a journey that actually cost about £26 when I had to get a taxi, just not worth the hassle and the worry

Hi i have just got back from my holidays in adeje and i used Resort hoppa, however i can safely say i will not be using them again...me, my husband, my friend and 9 children were picked up at 3am as our flight was 6am, we were on the shuttle for over 2 hours and passed our hotel 5 times, we went back to same pick up points more then once to pick up different people it was a joke... when we finally arrived at airport we had to run to check in in which we just made...not impressed it was a very distressing trip to an airport that was only 35 minutes away!!

We used resorthoppa for the value but when you sit on the coach for 2 hours for a half hour journey it is not value for money , yes we did expect maybe an hour/hour and fifteen minutes but not 2.

On the way back to the airport we were lifted at 9.30 and got to the airport at 11.35 after going round the resorts in circles we actually just passed by where we were lifted approx 45 mins after our pickup so we could have been lifted later. Sorry dont think we will ever use them again.

Used them in January and I have to say we had no problems at all. Although I will most likely use taxis in the future as I did worry that they might not turn up on time.

@ Hi NorthernIrelandMandy Wow i cannot believe you where sat on a bus for 2 hours as i think that is a long time, and it must of been a killer and ibet you paid close to what a taxi would charge to take you straight to the airport, but at least yours turned up for you as i have heard they sometimes do not as shallot has said it can be hitty missy if they do or don't and you do pay for it up front, sorry to hear you had to sit there a long time.

Has anyone used the "express" service that Resorthoppa are offering now? It states that there are a maximum of 4-drop-off points, but does not state how long this will take. Thanks.

Hi I used the express service in October. I found this to be excellent. We only had a very short wait at the airport on arrival before we were in the minibus and away. We were 3rd out of the 4 stops staying at Laguna Park 1 in Costa Adeje, it only took about 25 minutes still, which was good for me.

On the way back we were last pick up so at the airport in 15 minutes.
