Is Williams a worthwhile stop.

Hi everyone, Is Williams a worthwhile stop from Sedona (leaving Monday morning) to Vegas (arriving Tuesday afternoon)? Or alternatively (as Sedona is quite close to Williams) should we travel on to Kingman maybe? Is there anything there? We want to break up the journey with a stopover but want slightly more than a place to crash for the night. Any ideas?

1. Re: Is Williams a worthwhile stop.

Well you have either Williams or Kingman which is 2 hr between Williams and Vegas. It takes 4 1/2 hrs to get to Vegas from Williams if you go via I-40. We have some wonderful resteraunts including Pine Country, Rosa, pancho's and Old Smokies for the best buiscuts and gravy and pancakes larger than your plate. We have plenty of hotels to stay at.

You can go an look at the old retired steam engine that is in front of the Grand Canyon Rail road depot, walk around the downtown shops. I can also point you into the right direction if you want a short drive to look for local wildlife (not the towns peopel) but for deer and elk. We even have an 18 hole golf course if you have time in the am.

Its nice and small town. Now depending on the time of year we do have events going on in town.

Hope this helps.
