You asked for it...

For parking get there early. Parking is going to be at the 2nd Williams exit think its 163. The one with the Mc Donalds. You can park around there. The fireworks will be shot off from the other side of the highway behind the Fairfield inn. So if they have spots open thats the best hotel to stay at. You can also pull up a couple of chairs and sit at the elementary school. Just to warn you our fireworks are getting more and more popular so it take a while for people to leave.

We will have our small town parade. The Methodist church will have their icecream and chili dog social open to all. 3-5pm 127 W Sherman Located on South 2nd St (aka just take the 2nd exit to Williams follow it straight on up past the downtown area can't miss it.

Theres the pancake breakfast at 8am.

Antique tractor show July 3 & 4 @ 5pm on 2nd st.

Free swim at the Aquatic center downtown 1-4pm

Roatary Club BBQ not sure of the local yet LOL...

Parade starts at 6pm the Arizona Skyhawk Skydivers will kick things off. Should be a blast this year.. Lots of good food and fun for the family..

Fireworks to start around 9pm. So far so good fingers crossed.

I read on AZCentral that the Williams fireworks were stopped five minutes after they started because they set four fires in five minutes!Glad no one was hurt!

There was a fire that burned about 10 acres but they got it put out really quickly. They thought this spot would be a good area and easy to contain. Can't blame the city of williams they were just trying to please the public and got well "burned" for it LOL. No one was hurt and I do believe its completely out now. Haven't heard any updates. They got about 20 fireworks up and that was it. We did have some winds which carried the sparks.

We were in Flagstaff over the 4th and admitted we had never seen it so hot and dry before. I know everyone in both Flag and Williams were so hopeful for some fireworks, but the weather conditions provided a nasty risk for something horrible. I am glad there was minimal damage from the spot fires and that no one was hurt...that is what is most important. The parade and open-air symphony concert were great ways to celebrate our country in your beautiful part of our state.

We talked to the hot shot crews (2) that were involved in putting this fire out and they stated that they were on the fire within minutes of the accidental start by fireworks. They said that the fire burnt about 2 acres and they had the fire under control and actually pulled off the fire at 1AM when they had it totally extinguished. The city took a calculated risk and unfortunately they got burned.... They were trying to make the fourth of July special. Fortunately they had a ton of firefighters on and around the site when they started the fireworks and they got it under control very quickly. Still had a great time and lets pray for rain before next years fireworks show....
