What to do on a rare rain out day in Tempe?

The Heard Museum, if you haven't already been, is excellent. The Phoenix Art Museum also typically has an interesting exhibit. It's a mix of contemporary/modern and classical.

Tombstone will take more than 3 hours to reach, probably. Tucson is great (obviously I'm biased) but, honestly, most of its main attractions are also outdoors. You could probably reach Kartchner Caverns in a little over 2 hours if you left early, but it's also likely already booked up.

There are more than 100 things listed on the "Things to Do" list on the Phoenix Forum, many of them inside. Now is the time to start looking at that list and putting your day together. Figure out the times and days things are open, and if unclear about locations, etc., get back on board with your questions.
