Slide Rock Park in October?

Just wondering... is the park open for splashing around in October? I know it'll be colder, and we'll skip it if it's like 40 degrees outside or raining, but is the water absolutely freezing even if it's around 60-70 degrees outside?

It just sounds really fun!

The water probably will be quite cold this time of year ,since this weather has been extremely funky. But you never know it may be a warm day the day you go.

We drove past Slide Rock Park today, Oct. 17. It was a hot afternoon, and there were lots of people around the creek, but nobody was swimming. If I had been 20 years younger I would likely have taken a dive anyway.

It is raining tonight, and more forecast for tomorrow. I do not know what that does to the water level or any dangers involved in rising water. It certainly looks like a fun place.
