Rare Saddle of Simon Bolivar to Highlight the 23rd Annual High Noon Western Americana Auction and Show

The nation’s most significant event of its kind

Now in its 23rd year, the High Noon Western Americana Antique Show and Auction will be held Saturday and Sunday, January 26 and 27, 2013, at the Mesa Convention Center and adjacent Marriott Mesa Hotel in Mesa, AZ.

On Saturday evening, January 26th, Linda Kohn Sherwood, co-owner of High Noon, will open this world class event with her signature keynote address welcoming the bidders and collectors who have come from around the globe for the chance to own a piece of the finest in Western Americana history.

Steeped in both history and rarity, the key lot in this year’s auction will be the Simon Bolivar saddle. Created for this famous military and political leader who played a key role in Hispanic America’s successful struggle for independence from the Spanish empire. The Bolivar saddle was made in the city of Positi, Bolivia, one of South America’s largest silver mining cities. The Simon Bolivar Al Liberatador saddle is estimated to sell for $50,000 to $100,000.
