Hi, all. I recently asked a question about El Chorro, where I had planned to dine next weekend while in Scottsdale. Looking at the weather forecast, it seems that it will still be too hot to be on the patio, so I'm looking for an alternate. Searching past posts on this forum I've seen Durant's recommended several times. I've looked at the menu and it seems great, but no prices are shown. Can anyone give me a ballpark figure about costs of things?

I am also open to any other suggestions anyone might have--we are visiting a newly employed recent college grad and newcomer to Phoenix, and we are celebrating the birthday of another of us in our party of three. We would like a nice atmosphere and good food, and while we don't want to drain the savings account we're willing to spend the money for a nice evening.

We will save El Chorro for our next visit in late November.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Durant's is great, but a bit expensive. The prime rib melts in your mouth. It is a longtime favorite hangout of locals and visitors. John Wayne used to be a regular. He would set up shop on the cigarette machine at the side of the bar. The parking lot is in back, and the entrance most folks use is through the kitchen. Lots of atmosphere.
