One way rental car between El Calafate and Punta Arenas

Has anyone had experience in getting a rental car in el calafate and driving it to torres del paine national park? we will be flying into el calafate from buenos aires, then onto torres del paine for 4 days, eventually flying back out of punta arenas to santiago.

Any suggestions for travel plans would be highly appreciated!

I wonder if it is possible to get one way rentals.

Better travel by bus to Puerto Natales (or perhaps rent a car in Pt Natales)and TdP and later to Punta Arenas.

It is actually quite difficult.

Very few companies accept this, and if they do, it's for a lot of money and even more paperwork, weeks prior the actual trip...

Busing IS a very good alternative!

Aways Glaciers and Chalten Travel are two companies which do tours from El Calafate to Torres del Paine without going through Puerto Natales. I believe you can contract their services for just the transport to TdP as some people use them for getting to El Calafate from the park to save time. It will be more expensive than the ordinary bus, but might suit your time frame better. Both have websites.
