1. Re: Where to stay?

You also posted this in the Scottsdale forum. Mesa and Scottsdale are some ways away from each other, so where is it that you'd like to stay?

Also helpful would be to tell us exactly what you think is "decently priced". Do you have a weekly price in mind?

There are tons of rentals around Metro Phx and Scottsdale; lots of people use VRBO.com. Peruse that site, see the prices and determine your general location. Phx is huge and very spread out, so be aware of that when choosing your area. It's best to try to stay somewhat closer to your main activities.

Also be aware that Feb/Mar is our busiest, and thus most expensive, time of year.

Thanks for the reply hummingbird, never been there before so was just inquiring about the area we do want to go there this winter and really don't have any prefered place to stay. Just thinking about 750.00 to 850.00 per week. We would probably rent a car so as to have some mode of transportation so getting around would not be any problem.

As mentioned, you need to choose an area. Because you probably don't know much about any area let us know your likes and dislikes. Shopping, golf, day trips to scenic areas, eating out, fishing, movies, museums, a retirement community etc. On the Mesa VRBO there are many areas listed, some of which I know. If you would give me an idea, I could make a suggestion or two.

Lokk on VRBO Mesa at the following listings: Las Sendas, Painted Mountain, Sunland Springs, and Red Mountain Ranch. Sunland Springs is a retirement community with a host of activities, Painted Mountain is known for the golf course, Red Mountain Ranch and Las Sendas are within a mile or so of each other, and Las Sendas is a very upscale community. Hope this helps.
