How much time to allow at the falls?????

We will be at Iguazu around 15th & 16th April next year and need some indication of how long we need there.

We are not hikers so we don't want to do that but just walk along the trails to look at the falls and do the boat trip under the falls.

How much time should we allow for this on the Argentina side and the Brazilian side?

Once we purchase the Brazilian Visa will that Visa also be valid for us to enter Rio de Janeiro, through the airport, a day or two later?

The Brazilian side requires around 4 hours for both the park and a visit to the private bird sanctuary.

The Argentine side can require an entire day to experience the walkways and the boat ride.

However, you can adjust according to your tolerance.

The Brazilian visa for Australian passport holders is good for an entire year from the date of issue.

Yep I would concur with those estimated timings. I spread the argentine side out over two days but only because the humidity wore me down !!

I can recommend the helicopter flight on the brazil side. The office is just outside the entrance to the national park. It's quick - 15 minutes. But it's an amazing way to get a full impression of the falls.
