Driving from Buenos Aires to Iguazu Falls..how long and is

We are thinking of doing this as we have a full week in Buenos Aires while waiting for our cruise.

The Distance is 1310 km and approximately a 16 hour drive. http://www.ruta0.com . One week isn't a long time for Buenos Aires City, there is so much to see and do. If you want to see Iguazu I would fly there and spend a couple of days. Driving on this route may be fine for locals but is not easy for foreign tourists who are not used to driving in Argentina. Even I, as an Argentine but now with foreign driving habits would find it too hard.

Ruta 14 is one of the most dangerous routes of Argentina.

Please don't do this.

Follow Anna's excellent advice and either fly to Iguazú or spend a wonderful week in Buenos Aires.

(I would go to Iguazú. It seems a shame to come all the way to Argentina and miss those gorgeous falls!).

Thank you for your replies, we will use your advise. So sad that we won't be able to enjoy the scenery of your countryside. We usually enjoy renting cars and just do road trips outside of the busy cities to get a feel of the small villages and people.
