Fishing in BA

Are there places in or near BA where you can go to the shore and fish with your pole or do they limit it as to force you into one of those highway robbery fishing tours?

Profesorov ? ... at your orders SIR (loudly).

(I always...almost always.. respect authority)

VikeGuru:

No cheaper way to start your fishing experience in BA than taking a walk over the coastline of the River Plate where hundreds of fishing fans stay for a laid back day especialy on week ends.

Results are sometimes very good others bad ...

MY fishing tours are expensive thou not "highway" robbery f. t. but riverway ...:))

Joking.... yes I am very good at it :)))

and if you dont fish on board ...well we go to the supermarket and I will point you the best fish of the day ..a pic, afterwards may help to tell your pals back home how great the fishing was :)

In Esquina ( Corrientes) there´s good fishing

Take a bus in Retiro (coche cama) at 8 pm and you will be fishing next day at 11. am.

Sorry. No offense to anyone, Santiago. Good joke though. LOL. :)

I looked at a few sights for fishing excursions and the prices were a bit high. Even so, I still will probably go out on the boat but wanted to know where I could go if I just wanted to drop some lines for a few hours without heading out to sea.

Thanks for the pasada hambare link. Man, some good catches up there!

Go to the "costanera" that´s 10/15 minutes by cab from downtown to drop some lines during week days(not on week ends), you will surely find some friendly fishermen "gurus" that may provide some help and tips for fishing in the area.

Try to find my friend Gustavo that sells bait ( he lives in a old colectivo (bus or "bondi" that´s slang for colectivo), his bus is located in front of Hereford restaurant, near Ciudad Universitaria. Before buying his colectivo he sleept in the area behind benches covering himself with plastic bags...

This guy knows alot about fishing in the costanera.Say hi from Santi .

Last but not least, DONT eat any fish caught in the nearby coastline of BA, water is HIGHLY contaminated (both microbiologicaly and chemically)in the fist 1000 meters from Tigre

to La Plata (upway N too).

You might see people skyte surfing, winsurfing near Martinez coastline..... from time to time even Costantini (Malva museum owner AND Nordelta ).

One may think he is well informed .....does´n´t look like....
