Buenos Aires Airports (EZE and AEP)

We are travelling to Argentina and Brazil in November this year.

We are looking to book the following (same day) flights:

1) El Calafate to Buenos Aires (Arprt Jorge Newbery AEP) arrving at 13:42

2) Buenos Aires (Ministro Pistarini EZE)to Rio de Janeiro departing at 18:50

We will have been in Buenos Aires already and due to time constraints can't spend another night there on the way back.

We do not know:

1) If these airports are near enough to each other so we can make the flight to Rio. Traffic etc. may make it impossible but we don't know.

2) How we can get between the two airports and how much it costs.

Any information on this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ro

The airports are far apart. Allow at least an hour's driving time. It could be a few minutes less, but if there are traffic problems, it could be longer.

Most veteran travelers through EZE have learned to arrive three hours before flight time, as lines at all stages can be long.

Catching a cab from the curb at AEP can take a while. I'm sure you can arrange a pre-booked car to be waiting for you, but I've never done it so cannot advise you.

If your flight from El Calafate is on Aerolineas or Austral, be aware the their flights are frequently delayed.

The airports are approximately 1 hour apart.

You can transfer via shuttle bus(TiendaLeon),private remise car, or taxi.

The costs will be 65 to 100 pesos depeneing on which mode you choose.

Thanks for this information.

It seems like it may not be possible.

Any ideas how we might arrange a private car and how much it would cost?

Thanks

Look at Patsy's Link to TiendaLeon. You can prebook a remise for 130 pesos to EZE.
