Places similar to Yalikavak

Hi there,

My partner and I have visited Yalikavak twice now (both times in August) and absolutely love it. However, next summer we thought we should explore a bit more of Turkey but are unsure of where to go. Bodrum city is too busy - we're not after clubs/ lively nightlife. Seeing as we adore Yalikavak we are looking for somewhere similar- laid back atmosphere, lots of nice restaurants, few bars and a beach. Can anyone make a recommendation?

I am also rather interested in remote places.

What did you like about Yalikavak?

I was twice in the area around Dalyan (itself, the beach, the mountains, Koycegiz), and I liked it a lot!

Also the valley/moutain area around Aphrodisias is very nice...

Do you have any hiking tips for me in that area??

Kind regards!

check out Cirali..90 kms from the Antalya airport

Cirali ( Çıralı ) is a very lovely and unspoilt area...with Olimpos Roman ruins scattered in a pine forest, a secluded 4km non-touristy beach, fertile fields, and the Chimaera, the world's oldest and best-known natural "eternal flame". Also a natural nesting-ground for carretta carretta (loggerhead turtles).

This is the Chimaera or Yanartaş as it is know in Turkish .....Yanartaş - The mystical flames at the Chimaera. The Chimaera, a series of flames issuing out of cracks in the bare hillside, is one of the most unusual sites in the whole of Lycia.
