Supermarket Advice!

Is there a decent size supermarket in Hisaronu on the same scale as the main ones in Fethiye? When we go next in June we arrive at stupid o'clock so would prefer to just nip into Hisaronu (we are in Ovacik)if possible to get a decent shop in.

Hi

there are some good supermarkets but what time is stupid o clock!

You can find the smaller ones open up till 3 or even later.

Why not get the basics in, have a kip and do the main shop the next day. There is a Migros now in Hisaronu- which is a bigish supermarket.

Hi, we should get to our place at approx 4.30 am. We just really want to relax as much as poss the next day but we deffo need lots of essentials and for a couple of days after that we already have plans. Please can you let us know where Migros is as that sounds promising?

Hi, yes that is stupid o clock!

it's right slap in the middle of Hisaronu turn right near the phone boothes station/ post office which is at the bend in the main road.

There's a small fairground there now- it's next to that.

Good luck, take some match sticks!

There are a couple of larger supermarkets now, one I think is called Azda and Migros, plus plenty of small ones in Overcik that will deliver to your place, great little service.

Thanks for your help, think we'll try Migros this time but will definitely find out about the home delivery ones for next time we are there as they sound ideal. Thanks again

I guess the most essential thing is bottled water, we always buy it on our way from the airport to Ovacik at a petrol station ( any petrol station ), they're open 24hours and prices for something like water are pretty much the same as in supermarkets, not rip off prices like at UK/European petrol stations. Also, when we arrive in the early hours, we always go for a quick breakfast at the bus station in Fethiye, they're open 24hours. You get a Turkish breakfast for a few lira and don't arrive hungry at your apartment/villa ;-)
