We're just back from our wonderful holiday in SA. We've travelled from Jo to the Cape. Camping is not a problem in SA. Especially all SANpark have good facilities, we loved Stormsriver. But, find a great and well maintained camping in Cape Town is a disaster! Luckely we found 2 reasonable campgrounds, which we want to share with you.
Attach our review for campsites we took in Cape-surrounding
1. Oakland in Simons Town: wonderfull, amazing view on False Bay and Boulder Beach. But, facilities are not maintained (no toilet paper and dirty, no braai). This camping needs urgently new facilities and daily cleaning of it. Price = 110 ZAR for 2
2. near Belleville. Do not go here! Very noisy, middle of important traffic roads, very expensive and toilet paper needs to be paid additionally. Facilities are ok. Price = 200 ZAR for 2
3. Imhoff In Kommetije. Good place, but no view. Close to Long Beach, which has a great view Hout Bay and Table Mountains. Good and clean facilities.Price = around 150 ZAR. Good place to stay if you want to visit Cape Point, Chapsman's Peak drive.
4. Die Ou Skip in Melkbosstrand. North of Cape Town (20km). Very nice camp places, but no view. Clean and near beach, good roads to go to city center of Cape.
