Thanks Sandsy and Sepsep, I am not sure that we will get to the One and Only, unless we win the Lottery, but who knows, maybe we will. Io minutes stroll sounds just fine. Did you like the location Sandsy and would you stay there again ?

Thanks again,

Ruth.

Ruth Pembroke is quite near to the Cape Grace so you can either get a water taxi across for R30 or you can stroll passed the Cape Grace over the bridge and youre at the waterfront. Its at the waterfront as opposed to in the waterfront. From the waterfront IF you are NOT hiring a car, you can take a waterfront bus into sea point and get off at the last stop which is Queens Road. Walk up Queens Road and turn right and walk for about 10 minutes until you get to a very nice coffee shop called Salt where you can also have not too expensive a breakfast. Alternately take the same bus but ask to be put off at the Winchester Hotel which is right on Sea Point Beachfront and have a choice of breakfasts. Or walk from Pembroke out of the Waterfront onto the beach road and walk to a coffee shop called Newport Deli. I would say its a 20-25 minute walk or take the R8 waterfront bus and ask to be put off at Newport (no hot breakfasts) or opposite the lighthouse at Cafe Neo - lovely breakfasts and hot ones too. SO besides the waterfront there are lots of different choices.

Ruth, we'll be staying in the same area again next year so yes! We're trying the Lawhill apartments next time around though I'm not sure if they're nearer the Cape Grace or the One and Only.

Look out for seals on your walk near the bridge.

Diva...Thanks for the Sea Point recs.....as we'll be staying there! If you have any lunch or dinner recs for the same area, they will be duly noted as well!
