Help for honeymoon

I am traveling with my fiance to Capetown for a few days and was debating between Ellerman House and Cape Grace. Does anyone know how far Ellerman House is from town? Also, being that i will be there for 3-4 days, any places that are a must to see? Also, any recommendations for vineyards?

Thanks!

I would choose Cape Grace just because I have heard about it. I have never heard about Ellerman House.

I have read the reviews of Ellerman house and I think your decision should be based on whether you want to stay on the V&A waterfront or in a far quieter neighbourhood.

The V&A is busy, but for a lot of the attractions, you are right there. At the Cape Grace, you will be able to avoid having a car for a few days, as a lot of trips e.g. to Robben Island start at the V&A.

Thanks so much for you help. I really needed to know if Ellerman House is far from town. I know its located on a cliff? Is that correct? Couldnt we just take a cab? I dont know how I feel renting a car in a country I am not familiar with. I heard you have to be careful in South Africa

Stellenbosch is within easy driving distance of Cape Town and most people head for Spiers winery which is lovely but rather commercialised and tourists are big business. Have a look on the map for Delaire Winery which is not far from there. It is called the Vineyard in the Sky as it is up in the mountains and is smaller but is an absolute stunner for views with a lovely restaurant

When are you getting married? Have you chosen a honeymoon spot if at all?

I am getting married in May and we will be on our honeymon for three weeks. We will be in Capetown first, then the Kruger National Park. After that we will be flying to Seychelles and then Mauritius. On the way home we stop in Paris for a few days. I know it sounds exhausting but we love to go from place to place. We have decided on hotels. The only place I am confused about is the Ellerman House or Cape Grace in Capetown.
