Currency rate

I’ve noticed the rand has risen to 17.25 against the pound exchange rate. Is this a good rate, I’ve jot seen it so high previously but wondering if it will go higher

It's an excellent rate and not likely to go much higher unless something drastic happens.

Rakehead

It’s been hovering between 16 and 17 for about a year against the GBP.

So yes, 17.25 is good. The increase by around R0.5 happened at the beginning of the week when S Africa announced a much lower than expected growth.

Also the £ strength can effect the rate and we have lots going on in the UK at the moment!

The US Dollar has strengthened due to interest rates being possibly lowered and has affected the Rand. Currently trading at R13.20 to the Dollar.

That 13,20 might be a bank-to-bank rate, but for credit card charges, it would be closer to 12.8. ATMs, probably a little better.
