Street car parking over night

We will be staying in Bantry Bay in March, no onsite parking. Is it safe to leave the rental car on the street over night? Street is a small one-way right on the sea and rocks. Obviously would not leave anything of value in the car! Looks safe enough on google earth!

When we stayed in Greenpoint a few years ago we parked in front of the B&B who employed a night watchman to oversee the property and guests cars. Seemed very safe to us back then.

On street parking should be fine. Just dont leave ANYTHING visible in the car.

No overnight car guards in Bantry Bay but the side streets are lined with parked cars every night - so you won't stand out. As macsym says don't leave anything visible.

Just thinking - maybe Diva, who lives round the corner, would stay up and look after your car for a few rand ;-)

Hi byo3142,

If you can not get secure parking then also empty the Glove Compartment and leave it open.

Thanks for that, feel okay about leaving the car on the street. Free of any contents of course - do that here anyway! We will go ahead and book the accommodation.
