Would love some recommendations for good places in or near Hazyview for lunch and also a good supermarker to stock up for Kruger.

In correction to the above response, the Belgian Baker has closed their shop in Hazyview.

Restaurants:

Definitely worth the while are

Summerfields Kitchen

www.summerfields.co.za/index.php?page=kitchen

They serve lunch and dinner in the most beautiful surrounding at their River Cafe, right at the Sabie River (when lucky hippos are roaming around) closed after Lunch Sunday and reopen Tuesdays

Pinoneers Butcher and Grill

www.pioneersbutchergrill.co.za/

in Town at the Rendezvous Centre, the best steak you may have ever had in your life, very nice set up, open 7 days a week

Tides Seafood Diner

www.tidesdiner.co.za/

excellent seafood AND Sushi, right next door to Pioneers, closed on Sundays

Sabie Valley Coffee

www.sabievalleycoffee.com/

open till 17h00, lunch and Tea/coffee time, nice cakes and light lunches. Beautiful set up at the banks of the Sabie River, app. 10 km out of Hazyview towards Sabie on the R536

Stock up for KNP:

Pick 'n Pay on your way to Phabeni or Kruger gate, everything you need, very good meat selection, big supermarket

Hope this helps!
