Durban to Port Alfred

I am traveling down to Port Alfred for the long weekend, i just wanted to know approx. the driving time between Durb's and Port Alfred, i have heard varying times and wanted to be sure!

It's 789km. Nowadays you can maintain a reasonable speed through the Transkei. Just make sure you slow down in villages - lots of animals and kids in the road - and keep your eye out for straying cattle and goats anywhere! This is not such a big problem as the vistas and road is so open for most of the journey you can see the road a long way ahead.

Last time we did this from Port Alfred to Port Shepstone a couple of years back it took, I remember, eight and a half hours, including a stop for fuel and lunch at the Shell Ultra City in Mthatha. Add an hour from Port Shepstone to Durbs and nine and a half hours sounds about right.
