JNB/Livingstone/Vic Falls - food in transit

Hi,

we are flying from London to JNB then flying on to Livingstone with a land transfer into Zimbabwe.

We are picking up a 4x4 in Vic Falls.

We would like to bring with small amounts of condiments, oil, pasta, bottled sauces, etc as Zim may not stock everything or have it in big bags/bottles (salt, oil, etc).

Nothing will be fresh but will we have trouble at any of the countries customs?

Rather leave it all at home if in doubt!

We have never had problems crossing borders with the things you list. We also bring our essentials like Branston!

Should not have a problem if it is not fresh goods. I know for meat etc. the general rule is you can take it travelling north but not travelling south.
