Shuttle to pumba game reserve

Hello there i shall be traveling to pumba game reserve in february 2013 and have been looking at different ways of getting to the reserve.

I have thought of car hire but dont know wether there would be a entry fee or stroage of the vehicle fee?

But i have been quoted £307 for a return shuttle from pe airport but want to know of a cheaper alternative ?

Thanks

Rent a car.. I recommend AVIS most of the time. An ordinary compact or economy car will be just fine, since you have a well-maintained national highway for the first 105Kms after you leave the airport and then a well-maintained unpaved road for the relatively short drive to the camp.

£307 is outrageous. I just entered dates on the AVIS site for February, and a group B VW Polo shows up at about £31 per day. And no, they won't charge you a storage fee. It will be parked in a secure area at the lodge. Drop them an email and ask about any sort of entry fee for a self-drive lodge guest.

Thanks for replying so quickly. I was initially going to hire a car but was advised by our travel agent that driving would cost alot due to the storage fee and so on but I think this might of been a commission based answer, so I have emailed the reserve asking about any charges that might apply.

Thanks.
