Day trips from dalyan

Hello

Sure this question has been asked a hundred times before but could anybody recommend some good day trips from Dalyan. It is our second visit and we would like to do a little more than lie around the pool this time! We will be there in September this year. Can't wait

Welcome to the forum Woodstock. Directions to Yuvurlak Çay are as follows; from the turtle roundabout drive up the main Ataturk Bulvari (the way you come in to Dalyan) and take the left fork just after the garage (which is on your right). Carry straight on at the next roundabout - heading towards the mountains. You will pass through the small village of Eskiköy after a mile or two. Carry on through the village for a mile or two further until you reach a T-junction, at which you turn left. On this road you will pass about 3 cemeteries. Keep on the road (appx 3 or 4 miles I think) until you reach the main D400 road. Turn left. You will immediately cross a (barely noticeable) bridge. To your right you will see some kind of shops (can't remember specifically) and very tall, constantly running "showers" which are car washes! Just after after the shops you will see a sign for Beyobasi, turn right here. The road is long and straight with metal speed humps. Pass through the village and turn left at the end of it. After a short while you will pass a restaurant on your right, just after which you will cross over a small bridge. Turn left just after the bridge, (lots of hoardings on this junction) heading up into the mountain. After a couple of miles of winding road you will reach another road on to which you turn left. A few hundred yards further on you will drop down to the river level where you will find the three Yuvurlak ÇAY restaurants. The middle one serves delicious food and we were advised by Turkish people in Dalyan that this one serves the best food. To see the directions on a google map, put "google maps Dalyan" in the google search bar, then zoom in to Dalyan. You'll be able to then see which roads I'm referring to. Enjoy! :-)

On Google maps or earth, search for Beyobasi. From the D400 heading towards Mugla, turn right after you drive over a bridge(Yuvalikcay river) and you drive through Beyobasi and then just follow the signs and billboards for the various restaurants. Cinar restaurant is a good one.

You can also do the Yuverlacay trip with the Efe Bar. They go once a week with a minibus. Same price as the Dolmus - for those not hiring a car. You can do the walk to the waterfall with them or not. I didn't but my other half did and he thoroughly enjoyed it.
