ozalp junior hotel

We are due to go to the Ozalp Junior Hotel in September. Anyone been there or been to the apartments next door that could let us know what it's like. Been to Dalyan before, visited several times, never stayed there though.

Interested in good restaurants with good Turkish food. Any recommendations. Also only ever been in July/Aug - whats weather like in September?

Hi jandee

Sorry can't comment on Ozalp accommodation, never stayed there but it does look nice.

As far as restaurants are concerned, as i mentioned in previous comments, Ramazan Hahn do food to die for and the staff are fabulous. Ali Baba's is an experience, fantastic food, but no menus, but don't let that put you off, they will make anything you like. Also for authentic good old fashioned no nonsense Turkish food you must try Atay Dostlar which is opposite the bus station/park, it is always full, lots of Turkish people eat there which is always a good sign, and its cheap and plentiful. Along the river is Safran which is also very good and Sahils, you'll get a fabulous view of the rock tombs from both.

September in my view is perfect weatherwise, we are also going in September. Still hot during the day but comfortable and you may need a cover up at night for the shoulders but its still very pleasant.

9 weeks to go and counting. Have a great holiday.

Hi Jandee,

Weather should still be very good in September, for restaurants try the Kosk, along the road paralel to the river, opposite the Carretta Carretta restaurant. Also the Yoruk which is along the river footpath, the first restaurant that you come to.

Haven't been to the Ozalp Junior myself, but it looks nice.

Hey Jandee,

There's a few other Essex people knocking about dalyan like myself. İ am originally from Hornchurch. A very well known family restaurant is Saki which specialises in about 30 or 40 fresh mezes every day. They are on the river front at the very end of the broadwalk where the little rowboat crosses the river to the rock tombs. Their prices are very good too.
