Staying in Canggu for 6 days

Hi

Our party has 6 adults and 3 kids (5 yr old, 3 yr old and 8 mths)

We will be staying in a villa in Canggu in Oct.

Any idea how easy it is to get around? Are taxis easily available?

Which beaches in the area are good for kids?

What other activities will you suggest?

Is there a money changer, supermarket in the vicinity?

Thanks for the help!

Hi siok

Where in Canggu are you staying? Canggu encompasses a huge area and the answers to your questions depend on where you are exactly.

There is a fabulous Canggu taxi service - their phone number is: 0361 7899990.

Cheers

Plenty of Canggu taxi's in Canggu. They are a separate company to Blue Bird. If you call them it normally takes only 5mins.

Try not to get Blue Bird taxi's if you're traveling from Kuta/Legian area. Most of them don't have a clue where they're going once they drive into the Canggu area.

Most of the beach is the same from Brawa right up to Echo (where there is a reef). The bit at the end of Jl. Pantai Brawa seems to be the busiest of an afternoon though.

There is a supermarket on Jl. Perencak that has everything.

Closest money changer I know of in the Kerobokan area (5mins away) which is also a bank. It's located in a green building and they are a bank and certified money exchanger.

There is a good ATM in the car park next to the entrance to Canggu club on Jl. Taman Wisata Tibulbeng (tell your Taxi driver Canggu Club).

Hope that helps.

Hi siok

Just to add to the information above - do not take you children swimming on the beaches in that area - they are far too rough and have many rips and you and your kids will get into trouble. Keep your swimming for the villa pool.

Cheers
