Hotel Tugu Bali

Hello Tripadvisors,

We are going back to Bali in August, for a yearly dose of happiness.. We have never stayed in the Canggu area before, wondering what to expect.. How far would a walk take to say, Oberoi Hotel, along the beach front., from Canggu . Are there any eating places around Hotel Tugu Bali..Many years ago we stayed at a hotel called Intan Village, (no longer there) is Canggu far from this site? Hope some one can help.. About to book Tugu Bali.

Regards ,

Peaches.

I'm staying at Villa Teresa in 2 weeks in Canggu-I am no expert but here goes:

Not sure you can walk all the way along beachfront? Rocks-hopefully someone can confirm this.

Our villa which is close to Tugu is about a 3.5 km walk beachfront if you can.

The Beach House is in Canggu-walking distance-google them for the website

There is also an Italian place with awesome cocktails on rooftop bar-apparently!

Tugu dining is supposed to be amazing-we were thinking of doing dinner there one night.

Thats all I know!

Hi peaches2255

If you want to walk from the Hotel Tugu to the Oberoi hotel along the beach it would probably be about a good 30 minutes' walk. Where you will be in Canggu is about 20 minutes' walk (maybe not quite) to the site of the old Intan Village hotel which is where the W Hotel is being built at the moment.

There are a few place to eat at Echo Beach - Sticky Fingers is the name of the Italian one but the Beach House is the most famous. Sol restaurant is also at Echo Beach.

Cheers

Beach house has a lively jam session on Sunday evenings. Sori to digress.
