“ Alaska Carnival Spirit Cruise ”

Sep 13, 2011, 9:50 PM

Went on a seven day cruise with 8 other couples and had a great time. If you love or just like the outdoors then Alaska is a place to visit. We did the inside passage, Tracy Arm Fjord, Skagway, Ketchichan, Junea and Victoria BC. I thought the Fjord would be boring but it is one of those things, like the redwoods, you have to see to truly enjoy. In Skagway the White Pass train ride was great, we did the 3 hour ride. Chartered a boat to fish and it was not what we expected. I don't recommend fishing here from our experiance. Whale watching in Junea we saw Sea Lions, Humbacks and Orcas.Ketchichan was a nice place to walk around but I wish we had more time. This is where I enjoyed fishing. While on the north side I saw some kids fishing off a bridge and found out for $35.00 and an hour of my time I could catch a dozen Salmon not counting the ones that got off, being a fishing man from Florida this made my trip. We didn't get off in BC because my wifes ear patch wore off, we only had 4 hours anyway. We had hoped for a day here to see Buscholt? gardens.Only thing about the Spirit ship was there was a bad vibration the whole time, fely stronger each night while dinning. The ship was going into dry dock before going to Mexico so hopefully it's fixed. The crew was great and the food so so.
