Depends on what you refer to as food. Never thought about it or noticed, Maybe microwave stuff or snacks.

Unless they have changed in the last couple of months they still allow smokers. In the summer they leave the two doors open and that helps.

There is no beer on tap so all is bottled, including Homer Brewing in those funny bottles. And, bring cash as they do not accept credit cards.

I will say that Homer has some excellent restaurants - I think it has some of the best food in the state, so do take advantage of that while you are there! :)

Fat Olives is probably my favorite - can't wait to get back there! There lunch special is a smoking deal as well - killer slice of pizza.

Cafe Cups, Cosmic Kitchen, Captain Patties, etc.

Here is a good link to restaurants in Homer: homeralaska.org/visitHomer/diningSpirits.htm

We liked Captain Patties and the Mexican place across the street (can't remember the name) was good too.

The Mexican place across from Captain Patties is no longer Mexican (owner was Don Jose's in town). Unfortunately, the local Mexican fare in Homer has gone down hill. Cosmic Kitchen has good Mexican but is not open for dinner.

If you have wheels there is east of Homer Wasabbies (sp) about four miles and another four or so to The Homestead at Fritz Creek. The Homestead can be expensive like Cafe Cups. And, there is Crabbies at the corner by the blinker light.

There is Mermaid's on Main Street in old Homer. It has been closed this past winter.
