Cruise question

Hi there

I'm looking at the possibility of taking a 10 day cruise on the Princess Line. Any advice? Is this a worthwhile way to see the Cook Islands?

If you like cruising, then it's worthwhile. The curise ships don't dock at Raro, but rather anchor off the harbor and small boats take you to shore and back. Also, make sure and use New Zealand $ and not U.S.$ . Many stores give you a 1 to 1 exchange rate which is about .60 to little. Chuck

Yes, China, many of the stores has signs by the cash register: "$1.00US = $1.00NZ" So, you see, they were taking advantage of the US$ and if you converted into NZ$ at the bank, you would have received somewhere around $1.60NZ for $1.00US. Get the point? Chuck

Yes, I saw signs in Avarua businesses (Blue Note Cafe and nearby gift shops) saying they accept US$1 at NZ$1 rate. Raw deal.
