A Nice Local Gift

Our favorite aunt and uncle are taking us to Raro for the first time, and I could use some suggestions for what we could get them as a token of our appreciation. Something local. Thanks!

I would recommend a hand carved Cook Island Drum for your Uncle and a Black Pearl Pendant for your Aunt. Very local, very cultural.

Thank you so much. I know my aunt will love the black pearl pendant, and my uncle will love the drum. I looked it up on google and it looks cool. Thanks again.

How about a carved statue of Tangaroa to display at home?

First time poster here, so I Googled "Tangaroa". Very interesting. My Aunt would probably like the statue to show to her girlfriends, but my Uncle would not so much.

Oh, Richard, tell your uncle to get over it!

Whatever makes your aunt happy should be the priority.

We used to have a regular poster on this forum known as "Chuck" & I'm sure he would have the same sentiments as me.

Oh, he'll get over it. I showed my aunt and uncle the pictures and they both blushed. Although, my aunt was a bit interested :))
