Swmming and eating at other resorts.

My husband and I are heading to Rarotonga in March for our first time. We are so excited about our holiday (7 days with no children bliss!) We are staying at a private villa and was wondereing if we wanted to go and eat and drink some cocktails at other resorts (pacific, Crown, Rarotngan) are we also allowed to swim in their resort pools? Also we are thinking about going to do a fishing charter which one would anyone suggest. Thank you.

Your best to call the resort you want to go to and ask them directly what their policy is. Most places won't mind you using their facilities as long as you are buying a meal there and March is not super busy on the island so most places won't be too busy. Although the ocean is the best pool we have here so you may not feel the need to use a busy chlorinated pool at all.

As far as fishing charters go there are several and they are all good. I suggest that when you are ready to book, go down to the Avatiu wharf (across from CITC Building Center in town) and have a look at the boats and just pick one that appeals to you. There's Reel Time, Marlin Queen, Delano, Akura and others. Another alternative is Captain Moko charters which operates out of Avana Fishing Club which is closer to Muri. (not sure where on the island you're staying).

Enjoy your holiday!

Can't imagine why you'd need to swim in their pools with the beautiful lagoon right there! :)
