Trip Report

was there last week. Weather was on and off. Some cloudy days and sunny in the afternoon. Some sunny mornings and cloudy afternoons. A couple of rainy days. otherwise weather is 26-27C

Etu Moana was great! Mud crabs at the Tuipuna were not cheap but very delicious. One crab for 2 people is enough if you are not a big eater. Hike up to the hill across the Paradise Cove resort is where you can see everything from the top. Tamanu night show was also good to see. Teking snorkeling was awesome. The guide swims with you and show you where to swim and how to swim around the corals. And best part ... landing on one foot island....awesome, awesome, awesome! Bring lots of suntan lotion. Lots of mosquitoes and you won't be able to fight them all off...bring mosquitoes repellents...internet access cost $ but can get. Renting a car is $60 a day and you may not get one. Scooters are $25 a day if you know how to drive one. Bikes are mostly free but you will ride against the wind and those bikes weren't the best but ok to have. Aitutaki Lagoon Resort offers more if you are a windsurfer. Pacific Resort is good to go for dinner or lunch. We stayed at 3 places and liked them all. had a peek at Rumours to Escape but i think it's not as good because there is nothing around it. high price for the same beaches Etu offers. Etu is very very personal and a unique place for breakfast. the Honest bar is cool and BBQ stove available for everyone to use.

loved the staff. very pleasant smiles all day long.

Kia Orana calocalo,

Meitaki atupaka! Many thanks for taking time to post your trip report. You've provided lots of useful information to support other travellers. Especially pleased to read that the weather wasn't extreme (too warm, or overly wet)during the time of your stay. Sounds like your snorkelling adventure was fantastic.

I'm sure you'll return one day to Aitutaki. Wonderful to read how much you enjoyed staying at Etu Moana, and having a delicious breakfast served in their landscaped gardens every morn. Little touches like this make for a rewarding and memorable stay. Paradise!

Happy future travels. Kia Manuia.
